blog post hunger games
i have just finished reading the book ''the hunger games'' by suzanne collins'' this book is about the nation of panem whitch was once called north america. in panem there are twelve districts. one district in particular is district 12. whitch is where katniss the main character lives. she grew up in a poor family with only her mom and her sister because her father died in a mining accedient. the capital is harsh, cruel, and greedy. and make a boy and a girl from each district participate in the anual hunger games. katniss gets chosen and peeta the bakers son. my question is: who in the story has the power?
my responce is that the capital has all the power. no one else has any power and they contol every thing that goes on. it is unfair that they make children fight till the death. espeically when some of the children are so young like rue. rue and katniss team up during the games. it is very traumatizing to have to see people get killed and children having to kill other children. children should not have to live there life in panem knowing they are not fully safe because it could be them that one day it could be them who has to enter the hunger games and fight till death.
the ruler should never have that much power where children could get picked for a '' death sentence'' thats pretty much what they are doing when kids get picked for the hunger games. now in days even the president doesnt have much power over us other then laws.
I liked this blog post because you related to the readers not just writing about the book. This is the quote, it is from the last paragrpah: "the ruler should never have that much power where children could get picked for a '' death sentence'' thats pretty much what they are doing when kids get picked for the hunger games. now in days even the president doesnt have much power over us other then laws."

DeleteThis my all time favorite book. I really like the description you were able to include. Along with your well descriptive elaboration.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that a ruler should never have that much power. I think this because it will make life miserable for people and people will lose their lives.
