romeo and juliet litterary essay
how would you feel if you were in love with someone who is actually an enemy to your family? what would you do if you were stuck in that situation the story romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is about two star crossed lovers who are the enemies of each other but are still in love. juliets parents wants Juliet to get married to the prince of Verona but Juliet does not want to get married to the prince. at a party that her father throws Juliet meets romeo. and they fall in love. when they find out that they are enemies the steaks are set higher and the story gets more intense. that means that they will have to sneak around more and hope that they will not get caught. Juliet tells the nurse that she wants to get married to romeo immediately. at first juliet changes in the story because at first juliet goes along with her parents about hating the Montague's, then she strongly falls in love with one and is willing to look past the idea that he is an enemy to her family. and risking everything to be with the montogue.
in the beginning of the book, Juliet has no interest for the Montague's she doesnt know them well enough to get involved with them. when Juliet's mother introduces juliet to the idea of getting married she is not so interested. lady capulet says: "marry, that marry is the very theme i came to talk of. tell me, daughter juliet, how stands your disposition to be married? the mother is very passionate about getting juliet married. then Juliet says: ''it is an honer that i dream not of.''juliet feels that she is not ready to be married. at the party that her family has she falls madly in love with romeo. juliet says to the nurse: "my only love sprung from my only hate.'' in others words she is saying the man she loves came from the only hate she has. later when Juliet is on her balcony she is talking about her "love'' romeo and how she wants to see him. she loves this Montague and does not seem to care that he is an enemy. she says: o romeo, romeo, wherefore art thou romeo? deny thy father and refuse thy name, or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, and ill no longer be a Capulet.'' she is saying that she would ignore or father and be Capulet. this quote shows that she is willing to ignore that her love is an enemy.
in the middle of the book Juliet sneaks around to be with romeo. the story gets more, and more intense because of that. Juliet is willing to risk getting in trouble with her getting married to price Paris passionate crazed parents, to see her love who is a Montague. how mad would her parents be if they found out that she is dating someone when she is supposed to be getting married to someone and to make things worse the person she is dating is a Montague. the nurse comes to Juliet with news about romeo ''then hie you hence to friar Lawrence's cell. there stays a husband to make you a wife...'' and Juliet says: ''hie to high fortune! honest nurse, farewell."Juliet marries romeo even when there are many risks. she loves him no matter what.
in the end of the book, Juliet's parents make an official date for her to marry Paris. she is so upset about this and she is so angry that her parents would make her marry to someone she does not love. Juliet goes to friar Lawrence for a prevention. '' tell me not friar, that thou hearest of this, unless thou tell me how i may prevent it. if in wisdom thou canst give me no help, do thou but call my resolution wise, and with this knife ill help it presently...'' Juliet loves romeo so much that she would rather kill herself then marry Paris/another man. so the friar comes up with a plan to fake a death for Juliet so she can be with romeo. but the plan goes wrong and romeo does not get the letter in time from the friar and romeo kill him self and when she sees him dead she kills herself. when she kills herself she says. '' whats here? a cup closed in my loves true hand?poison i see, hath been his timeless end. o churl, drunk all, and left no friendly drop for me after! i will kiss thy lips. haply some poison yet doth hang on them, to make me die with a restorative. thy lips are warm! yea noise? then ill be brief. o happy dagger, this is thy sheath. there rust, and let me die. she commits suicide to be with her love who is an enemy. she dis -honored her family to be with her true love.
in conclusion, you can see the major changes of Juliet. going from not liking the Montague's to looking past how they are a hate to there family and seeing that there is something good about them like she love romeo. when you love someone you are willing to do anything for them. Juliet sacrificed her life to be with her love

romeo and Juliet blog
reading response
i have recently finished reading the book romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. this book is about two star crossed lovers who can not be together because they are each others most hated enemies. as the sneaky teenagers they are they meet anyway. the story all started when Romeo Montague met Juliet Capulet at a party held by the Capulet's. romeo and his friends sneak into the party. romeo sees Juliet and falls in love the minute he sets his eyes on her. they eventually fall in love during the story. romeo and Juliet get married because they were so in love. but when Juliet finds out she has an arranged marriage with prince Paris she decides to fake her death. when romeo finds out she is "dead" he commits suicide poor Juliet wakes up to a dead romeo lying on the ground and she kills herself too.
the book is really sad. i think that all the sneaking around they did is what made the story more intense and if they just told the truth maybe they wouldn't have ended up dead. they were Juliet and romeos behavior was foolish and they everyone found out about their secret love when they were dead. i think that it was very brave to have snuck around though because you never know what there parents would have done if they found out. and if you really love someone you would do anything thing for them.
overall, i enjoyed Reading the book even though it was a little hard to understand because it was Shakespearean language. but that made you want to learn more about it. i thought it was interesting to read because it taught me more about how to analyze writing that was harder than what i usually read.i recommend this book to people like romance, tragedy and if you want to challenge yourself.

i finished reading 11 birthdays about a week ago. this book is about to friends that were born exactly on the same day. a women tells the parents on the day they were born that its a very special thing and they shouldnt take it for granted. the parents dont really care. they move on with there lives. but on the baby girls birthday some one books it at the same place and same time and that person ends up being the baby boy born on the same day. from then on they end up being best friends
but there 11th birthday come and her friend leos birthday comes but thay get in a really big fight about having there birthday partyon the same day. they soon split up as being friends and drift apart.
i thought that they should have just gotten over it. its not worth fighting with your best friend espeicaly if you have known them for a really long time. in sixth grade i had a huge fight with my best friend and we didnt make up till 7th grade we really missed each other so we decided it wasnt woth it. we decided to forgive and forget.

reading response for the book Witch Hunt
i am currently reading the book witch hunt by Marc Bronson. this book is a non fiction book trying to unlock the mysteries of the Salem witch trials. no one really knows what happened at happened at the Salem witch trials no one was actually there when it all began. but we do have journals, books, and knowledge passed on through the years.
in the beginning of the book there is a scene of what was happening in the first trial. the towns people accused a woman named Martha carrier. two girls said that she hurt them and threatened many dangerous things. like ''i will cut you.'' ths show the disturbing things martha might have said. this scared the girls and the town. the Salem witch trials took place in the 1690s. no one was ever sure that some people were actually witches. many people in the town accused Innocent women of being witches they killed the people thought to be witches. the auther connects this historical happening to fairy tales. like in stories when a fairy godmother offers a servent girl fancy ball clothing so they can attend a grand ball or creatures that lurk in the shadows of night. he says imagine that all of those things came true and were no longer fables, well that is was people thought was actually happening during the trials.
my opinion on the witch trials are that they dont actally exist. i think that people just bamed there bloblems on the people who act weirder than normal people. like if you plant a plant and the next day its ruined the person would think they have been cursed by a witch and get angry. some of the people might have acted unusual but that doesnt mean they are a witch.

blog post hunger games
i have just finished reading the book ''the hunger games'' by suzanne collins'' this book is about the nation of panem whitch was once called north america. in panem there are twelve districts. one district in particular is district 12. whitch is where katniss the main character lives. she grew up in a poor family with only her mom and her sister because her father died in a mining accedient. the capital is harsh, cruel, and greedy. and make a boy and a girl from each district participate in the anual hunger games. katniss gets chosen and peeta the bakers son. my question is: who in the story has the power?
my responce is that the capital has all the power. no one else has any power and they contol every thing that goes on. it is unfair that they make children fight till the death. espeically when some of the children are so young like rue. rue and katniss team up during the games. it is very traumatizing to have to see people get killed and children having to kill other children. children should not have to live there life in panem knowing they are not fully safe because it could be them that one day it could be them who has to enter the hunger games and fight till death.
the ruler should never have that much power where children could get picked for a '' death sentence'' thats pretty much what they are doing when kids get picked for the hunger games. now in days even the president doesnt have much power over us other then laws.

socail action question - is the book fair or unfair unfair blog #3
in the book the hunger games the government has way to much power over each district. a boy and a girl from each district has to compete and fight till death. it is really unfair that children should have to fight and kill, because they still have a long way to go in there life and if they die they didnt get to experience all that they should have. the book is nonfiction but one of the problems is obviously the ruler having way to much power over inasint people. another problem in the book was a smaller conflict but, poverty. most families in district 12 dont have enough food and other resources. katnisses family is poor and are almost broke. when katniss goes into the games she is worried about her family starving while she is away. the government really does not care about most of the problems that go in in each district.
in the book a huge mine explosian that many people were in and died. it affected many families including katnisses family which really set off a load of problems, the father was in the explosian and died, the whole family was depressed about it, they were running low on money and starving, and katnisses mother couldnt get a job.the family was starving to death. that is probubly what is happening to a lot of families. this is one problem showing the to much power that the ruler has. the everdeen family is stuck in there poor house in district 12.
this book has many problems in it. the problem of children fighting till death just makes me sick inside knowing the trauma they are feeling when the fighting time comes.its like the people in each district are puppets and the ruler and his cabinet are puppet masters and can play with them whenever they want. so i think the book is mostly unfair.

blog # 2 reading responce on the hunger games
I have just started the book, the the hunger games suzanne collins. so far the book is about a girl named katniss everdeen, who lives in a poor district (12). ruled by the capital of panem. this year is the hunger games. where one girl, and one boy, from each district is chosen and forced to fight against other districts to the death. im at the part where katnisses sister is chosen from the bowl, but katniss volenteers as tribute.because she dousnt want her sister to go into the harsh hunger games war.
Katniss is very brave to do such a thing. this shows that katniss loves her sister so much and doesn't want anything to happen to her. I feel very surprised that a person would actually take the place of someone going into the hunger games because its really scary, maybe even the scariest thing that could happen to a person. but katniss showed how loving and caring she is towards here sister. but know the katniss is very brave and has always been really brave. at first katniss told her sister she wouldn't get chosen but when prims name got chosen katniss was scared and made a big decision that would keep her sister safe.\
In conclusion, i have realized there is all ready a small theme developing. when you love someone you would do almost any thing for them. katniss would really agree. she is probably scared and lost, and angry at the capital. i would be angry too. its terrible to make children fight to the death when they didn't chose to do that and have to training. i wish katniss good luck.
